Craft Club Christmas Cards

Here is a version of the sparkly Christmas card we made at Craft club last week. This uses the gorgeous bride DSP as the background which is stunning, and we have made a tag punch star from Whisper white & cardstock Vellum. Adding lots of dazzling diamonds for bling. Adding a silver embossed greeting cut from Punches three - a hostess level one set. I hope you like it.

Box Tutorial

Good morning everyone
Here is at last the promised tutorial on the box we made at the craft club this week and also at Jane's workshop.
1. Start with a A4 sheet of Not quite Navy cut at 28cm. Along with 5 pieces of DSP I have used Bella Bleu, cut to 1 @ 12cm by 7cm, 2 @ 12cm by 3cm and 2 @ 7cm by 3cm. And finally a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock cut to 11cm by 6cm.

2. Score the Not Quite Navy card at 4cm, 12cm, 16cm, 24 cm along the length and at 4cm on both sides. Then cut along the folds like this...

3. Apply wet glue (I have used Tombow) to 4 of the flaps.

4. Adhere the flaps to the sides to make the bottom of the box.

5. Adhere the last two flaps to make the lid.

6. Adhere the DSP to the sides and top. Using the 1inch Punch punch out half a circle to give the box an opening like below...

7. Using the Flight of the Butterfly set, I have stamped the top layer.

8. I have then inked the edges using a sponge dauber.

9. I have then stamped the outline of a butterfly in Card Vellum and used the Butterfly punch to punch it out.. Top tip turn the punch upside down to punch the image out perfectly every time.

The finished box....

A big thank you to Monica Gale who originally posted the directions of this box. I hope you like my variation.

Its going to be a Sparkly Christmas

well for the specail people in my life anyway! Here is my christmas card for my family, its a card I first attempted making last year and ran out of time to make it for my family so this year I have dug it back out & made a dozen of these beauties. This is made using the small & large Tag punches from SU both available FREE when you spend £45 on qualifying products. I am considering doing a version of this at craft club next week let me know what you think - is it too time consuming and fiddly?

A huge thank you to Su

This is a piccie of Su when she came to my house a few weeks ago for my open day, when she kindly invited me to do a workshop at her house. What a superstar!
I have just got home from a fab night at Su's where I was reunited with Jacqui, Katie, Terri & Sofia where it felt like I was at home with friends! We giggled, we crafted and best of all we made some cards! I'll upload the photos of the projects we did tomorrow when the light is better.

Thanks again Su, I had a lush night!
